A review meeting of the functioning of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) sanctioned under Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) convened by Vikas Kundal, DC on July 23 in Kargil.

Discussions on various schemes including implementation of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme was carried out.The scheme Beti Bachao Beti Padhao along with the new programme Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is fully launched in the district. Under Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, an amount of ₹ 15.51 lakh has been given to 757 pregnant women beneficiaries.

Vikas Kundal asked the concerned to work with utmost dedication and achieve hundred percent target fixed for the current fiscal. He directed them to ensure the benefits of all the existing Centrally Sponsored Schemes launched by the Centre and State Governments in the district to reach out in a maximum lot. Also, he called for massive awareness among the people about the CSS.
