Under Vidya Vistar scheme, Gargi College signs MoU with Govt. Model Degree College, Zanskar
Govt. Model Degree College (GMDC), Zanskar, and Gargi College New Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the next five years under the Vidya Vistar Scheme of Delhi University on June 8.
The Vidya Vistar Scheme is based on the principle of mutual respect, cooperation, and sharing between two Colleges/Departments of both universities as equal partners. The Vidya Vistar initiative of DU has opened the channels of communication and exchange among academic institutions which has tremendous potential to improve outcomes given the absence of a level playing field in education geographically.
The program was attended by Prof. Sangeeta Bhatia, Principal Gargi College, and MNM Shabani, Principal GMDC Zanskar at Gargi College Delhi in the presence of IQAC members of Gargi College.
MNM Shabani gave the overall development aspect of Zanskar College and extended an invitation to staff and students of Gargi College to Zanskar.
Important collaborations were discussed like students and faculties exchange programs, research exchange, cultural exchanges, split semesters between students, academic bank of credit facilities, coaching for NET JRF, CUET examinations, skill enhancement, and value-added certified courses to collaborate in the future.
The principal and staff of Gargi College expressed their willingness to visit Zanskar along with the students’ group.
The faculties of Gargi College also expressed their interest to collaborate on Zanskar-specific research on flora and fauna, climate impact, and issues concerning the tourism industry.
