A training programme on ‘Mushroom cultivation under the OSAP subsidy component of LAHDC Leh at the Departmental Farm, Guphuks was held on April 15.

The programme was organised by the Department of Agriculture, Leh. A total of 32 farmers of Sham region hailed from different villages, including Lamayuru, Saspol, Nurla, Hipti, Takmachik, Tia, Skurbuchan, Achinathang and Dhomkhar participated in the programme.

Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Leh, Shakeel-ur-Rehman imparted the training. Assistant Agrostologist Ibrahim briefed the participants about the importance of organic farming and its benefits.

In the end, mushroom spawns, poly bags and black polythene were distributed to the participants.
