Training for mushroom production concludes at SKUAST KVK-1 Kargil
Four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program in mushroom production conducted fromJuly 24 to 25 at SKUAST KVK-1 Kargil.
The program was organised by LRLM Kargil in collaboration with KVK-1 SKUAST Kargil with an aim to empower 20 SHG members with skills and knowledge on mushroom production.
Dr. Nasreen, Senior Scientist, SKUAST KVK-1 Kargil, was the resource person for the training. The program was also attended by BPM TSG, BPM Sankoo, and DPM LRLM.During the training, participants learned about spawn production, mushroom cultivation, processing, and marketing. The program also aimed to promote entrepreneurship and economic empowerment among rural women.
All 20 SHG members successfully completed the training, and certificates were distributed to the participants.
Padma Angmo, ACD Kargil, appreciated the efforts of SKUAST KVK-1 Kargil and participants, emphasizing the importance of mushroom production in enhancing livelihood opportunities.
The training was conducted under the aegis of the LRLM initiative, aiming to promote sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment among rural women.
