The Municipal Committee of Kargil organised an interactive lunch event with beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi scheme on July 8. The event was attended by street vendors from Kargil town and the staff of the Municipal Committee.

Administrator Imteeaz Kacho graced the occasion, appreciating the dedication of the street vendors and acknowledging the efforts of the Municipal Committee, Kargil team in ensuring the scheme's success. He noted that almost all street vendors in the region have been covered under the scheme.

As part of the 'PM SVANidhi se SIMRIDHI' initiative, the Municipal Committee Kargil has profiled all street vendors, ensuring comprehensive coverage and facilitation of benefits. This initiative aims to empower street vendors and enhance their livelihoods through financial support and access to various government schemes.

During the event, street vendors shared the benefits they have received and expressed their gratitude. They also highlighted their grievances.

The event underscored the Municipal Committee's commitment to uplifting the street vendor community and promoting their economic well-being under the PM SVANidhi scheme.
