Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk reviewed the ongoing preparations regarding the upcoming collaborative workshop on Ladakh specific Modeling and space Applications (LAMA) Project and Space Science Exhibition to be held in Leh from September 9-13.

The workshop will be organised by LAHDC Leh, University of Ladakh, and Space Application Centre, Ahmedabad.

ADDC Leh; SE R&B Leh, CEO Leh, Dean Science UoL, Executive Engineers of PHE, PDD, and Construction Division attended the meeting.

Deputy Chairman instructed all the concerned officers and executing agencies to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made well in advance.

LAHDC Leh and SAC-ISRO, Ahmedabad are exploring collaborative mechanisms for science-based decision support systems and advancing space science research and education in Ladakh with emphasis on developing a joint framework for institutionalising Ladakh-specific projects (LAMA - LAdakh specific Modeling and space Applications) to address various environmental related issues. 

Later, Dy Chairman reviewed the preparations for the closing ceremony of the 1st edition of the Climate Cup Football tournament to be held on September 7 at Astroturf Open Stadium, Spituk, Leh.

The final of the Climate Cup 2023 will be played between Delhi FC and Tibet National Team.
