Surveillance teams conducted surprise checking of homes under quarantine at various villages in Khaltse Sub-division on June 3.

The team was headed by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Tanver Ahmed.

SDM, Tanver Ahmed said that people in quarantine should strictly follow necessary quarantine measures and accord maximum priority to social distancing, personal and surrounding hygiene to contain the spread of the virus.

He also expressed gratitude to the people for cooperating with the administration in observing the lockdown and home quarantine measures. He further appealed them to follow the requisite norms and guidelines pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic so that the risk of the virus spread is avoided. 

Fines were also imposed for not wearing face masks in public and workplaces.
