Planning meeting on rationalization of Education Department Kargil staff held
Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon chaired a meeting to formulate a comprehensive plan on attachment/detachment of employees/rationalization of staff of Education Department Kargil and proper functioning of various Boys/Girls Hostels located at Srinagar and Jammu on November 3.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Councillor, School Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, SE PW (R&B) Kargil, Chief Education Officer, Kargil and Executive Engineer, R&B Division Kargil.
CEC directed the Chief Education Officer, Kargil to implement the previous order issued for the detachment of teaching/non-teaching staff of the Education Department in letter and spirit, and those who have not reported their original place of posting to date should be detached immediately.
To tackle the problems being faced by the schools after the detachment of teaching staff, a committee has been constituted for the rationalization of teaching/non-teaching staff of the Education Department under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil.
The committee members have been directed to finalize rationalization process as per the desire and need of each and every institution and submit the same to LAHDC, Kargil with their recommendations through Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil to take further action/approval accordingly.
Further, ADC, Kargil was directed to propose Wardens for all Hostels at Jammu, Srinagar excluding the teaching staff of the Education Department immediately and submit the same to LAHDC, Kargil for approval so that the teaching staff presently working as Warden in those hostels could be detached accordingly.
Besides the Executive Engineer, R&B Division, Kargil was directed to handover the administrative control of the hostel buildings to the Chief Education Officer, Kargil immediately. However, the renovation and other works would be carried out by the Public Works Department as per past practice.
