Photo exhibition: Local wildlife photographers unravels the beauty of wildlife

\r\nTo aware people about wildlife and its importance, the 2nd annual photo exhibition of wildlife of Ladakh was organized from September 1 to 27 at the Gallery at Leh, NAC shopping complex, Leh.\r\n

\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nOrganised by Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh, the exhibition highlighted the photographs of different wild animals and bird’s species taken by the local wildlife photographers.\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nMoses Kunzang, ADC, Leh praised the establishment of a voluntarily organization for the wildlife conservation and the various activities carried out.\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nHe also requested the organization to distribute the newly launched first ever magazine on wildlife titled as ’Jungwa’ among school students to create interest in learning about wildlife among them.\r\n
\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
\r\nMoses Kunzang also suggested writing more about wildlife species which are decreasing in population.\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nThe yearly magazine ‘Jungwa’ launched on July 25 was the first ever magazine on wildlife published in Leh. The publication initiated by WCBCL highlights various species found in Ladakh, its importance and conservation issues in the region.\r\n

\r\n\r\n
\r\nBriefing about the organization, Lobzang Vissudha, Chairman, WCBCL said, “Very few people are aware of the different wildlife species found in Ladakh, thus the importance was hardly felt. We have been carrying out different activities to aware people about wildlife which further helps somehow in conservation also.”\r\n

\r\n\r\n
\r\n“This photo exhibition is also an important platform to promote the local wildlife photographers and to encourage more in this field”, he added.\r\n

\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\n Rinchen Namgyal, President, LBA Youth Wing expressed the need of such volunteers to work on wildlife conservation. He said the activities carried out will definitely help people to know about different species of wildlife found in Ladakh.\r\n

\r\n\r\n
\r\nHe further suggested organising painting competition themed on wildlife to make students learn more about it.\r\n

\r\n\r\n
\r\nThe photo exhibition was inaugurated by Moses Kunzang, ADC and was enjoyed by people of every walk of life.\r\n
