NISR Leh organises two-day workshop for Sowa Rigpa practitioners
National Institute for Sowa Rigpa, Leh organised a two-day workshop cum training programme for the Sowa Rigpa practitioners on July 6.
Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh, Brig Dr. B.D Mishra was the chief guest on the occasion. Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, and Col (retd) Dr. Tsewang Smala were present as the guest of honor.
The workshop started with the lighting of a butter lamp by the Lt. Governor.
Brig (Dr) B.D Mishra (Retd) during the occasion expressed happiness over the establishment of the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa in Leh. Additionally, he stressed the importance of the preservation/promotion of the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine for the better health care of common people. He assured full support to the Institute from the UT administration.
MP, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal spoke about the importance of the preservation and promotion of the Sowa Rigpa System of medicine and assured support for the promotion of the institution.
Earlier, Director NISR, Dr. Padma Gurmet briefed about the rapid progress of the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine in the Ladakh region and the Himalayan region in general.
