CEC, Hill Council, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson with Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar accorded warm send-off to Mountaineer Jigmet Tharchin for his maiden Mount Everest expedition on March 17.

CEC Gyalson and Secretary Ravinder expressed their gratitude to the UT Administration led by Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur for extending financial support to mountaineer Jigmet for the expedition. Both of them, along with other officials wished him luck for a successful summit to Everest. 

Jigmet Tharchin expressed his gratitude to the UT administration and LAHDC Leh for their assistance in fulfilling his dream. He said that such opportunities would pave the way for all the adventure sports enthusiasts from Ladakh and uplift their confidence in such fields.

Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk; DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; EC Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; EC Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor; EC Stanzin Chosphel and DYSSO Leh, Tsering Tashi were also present at the occasion.
