Minimally Invasive surgery camp in Kargil performs 12 successful surgeries

Kargil :

Al-Reza Health Care & Research Foundation, the health wing of Jamait Ul Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil, in collaboration with the Department of Health Kargil, successfully conducted a two-day Minimally Invasive Surgery camp at District Hospital Kargil.

Led by renowned Minimally Invasive Surgeon from Kashmir, Dr. Akhtar Ganai, supported by Dr. Sajjad Hussain and Dr. Mohd Abass, both Consultant Surgeons of the Department of Minimally Invasive and Laparoscopic Surgery at District Hospital Kargil, the camp achieved the successful completion of 12 major and complicated surgeries. The anesthesia team, under the leadership of Dr. Abass Ali, played a crucial role in the camp's success.

The camp utilized two advanced laparoscopic machines with 4K systems in the state-of-the-art Modular OT theatres at District Hospital Kargil, equipped with the latest H2O2 Cold Plasma Sterilization technology.

Dr. Mohd Abass, President of Al-Reza HC & RF, expressed gratitude to Dr. Akhtar Ganai for his expertise and leadership during the camp. He extended thanks to the Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) Kargil, Kargil administration, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Medical Superintendent, Deputy Medical Superintendent, doctors, paramedical staff, OT staff, and volunteers for their contributions.

Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, President of JUIAK, congratulated the doctors on the camp's success and appreciated the UT administration and CEC LAHDC Kargil for their support in equipping District Hospital Kargil with advanced equipment. He commended the doctors for introducing cutting-edge surgical techniques locally and acknowledged the efforts of paramedical staff, volunteers, and OT staff, wishing them continued success.

The initiative received widespread praise from residents across Kargil for bringing much-needed minimally invasive surgical care to the community.
