Ladakh University signs MoU with University of Kashmir to support various academic activities
University of Ladakh (UoL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with University of Kashmir to support each other in conducting joint academic activities for the growth of their respective departments/centres/courses and also for the promotion of quality research work, including undertaking joint research projects and supervision of research programmes.
The MoU was signed by Vice-Chancellor, UoL, Prof SK Mehta and Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir, Prof Talat Ahmad on April 9 in presence of Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas.
Commissioner/Secretary, Higher Education, Padma Angmo, was also present on the occasion.
LG Mathur stressed on the need to publicise the unique geology of Ladakh both nationally and internationally and publish booklets, identify client groups-both tourists and education tourism and prepare geological tour circuits for students and set up UNESCO-recognised geoparks in Ladakh.
