Ladakh introduces e-Filing for consumer complaints via e-Daakhil portal
Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), launched the e-Daakhil portal, an online platform for filing consumer complaints, at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat on November 23.
The event was attended by CEC/Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon; Executive Councillors and Councillors from LAHDC Kargil; Advisor to the LG, Dr. Pawan Kotwal; Administrative Secretaries; and officials from the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
The launch marks a major step in digitising consumer grievance redressal in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Developed under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, which came into effect in July 2020, the e-Daakhil portal allows consumers to file complaints online with the Consumer Commissions in Ladakh. This innovative platform eliminates the need for physical visits and enables seamless online payment of filing fees.
Officials from NIC provided a detailed presentation on the portal’s functionalities and benefits.
Key features of the e-Daakhil portal:
• Online complaint filing: Consumers can submit complaints conveniently from home or office.
• Easy payment process: Simplified online payment of filing fees.
• Real-time complaint tracking: Consumers can monitor the status of their complaints online.
• Enhanced transparency and accountability: Ensures an efficient complaint redressal process.
The Lieutenant Governor commended the officials for their efforts, highlighting that the e-Daakhil portal would save consumers time, money, and energy while streamlining the grievance resolution process.
