Ladakh empowered committee reviews recruitment rules, proposes amendments for approval
Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh, chaired the 32nd Empowered Committee meeting on September 12, focusing on the framing and review of Recruitment Rules for various Gazetted and Non-Gazetted posts within the UT Administration.
During the meeting, the committee deliberated on amendment proposals and the mapping of posts submitted by various departments for consideration. The Technical Education Department, Social Welfare Department, Agriculture Department, and Drug Control Organization submitted amendment proposals, all of which were recommended by the committee for the Lieutenant Governor’s approval. Additionally, the committee recommended the Staffing Regulations proposed by the Ladakh Autonomous Councils, to be filled through deputation from relevant UT Administration departments.
The meeting also reviewed the mapping of posts as proposed by the Technical Education Department, Fisheries Department, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department, Industries and Commerce Department, Public Health Engineering Department, and Finance Department. Advisor Kotwal praised the efforts of these departments in post mapping, describing it as a valuable practice for ensuring proper accounting of posts.
Key aspects of the recruitment process were thoroughly discussed, including amendments, standardization, addressing vacancies, simplifying procedures, regular monitoring, and timely completion of recruitments. Administrative Secretaries provided updates on the progress of recruitment rules and regulations for both gazetted and non-gazetted posts, along with details about vacancies within their departments.
Advisor Kotwal stressed the importance of a fair, transparent, and efficient recruitment process to enhance governance and service delivery in Ladakh. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to maintaining integrity in all recruitment processes, ensuring the welfare and progress of the people of Ladakh.
