Lieutenant Governor, R K Mathur discussed developmental projects of Ladakh with Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari on November 10.

R K Mathur thanked the Minister for the sanction and launch of the work on the Zojila tunnel. Nitin Gadkari assured that the project shall be completed in a few years. 
Other issues of road connectivity including national highways and internal roads in Ladakh's need for additional tunnels, assistance to local MSMEs were also discussed at length.

L G Mathur further asked Nitin Gadkari to help in exploring the economic potential of Pashmina produced in Ladakh. He stressed the need to support the promotion of pashmina as a means of rural livelihood and a good revenue-generating avenue for youth.
