Under Kissan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari Campaign, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kargil organised Kisan Mela themed, 'Kargil Apricot: The Identity and Power of Desert' on April 26 at auditorium hall , Agriculture Department Kurbathang.

The KVK observed the event in collaboration with Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and other concerned departments.

Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Mohsin Ali congratulated the organisers for conducting the event and suggested farmers practice extensive farming practices to benefit the maximum population in the district.

He further urged the farmers to take maximum benefits from the government-sponsored schemes and directed the concerned departments to provide required equipment and facilities to farmers on time.

Chief Scientist KVK Kargil, Dr Muhammad Mehdi said that the program is observed across the country to aware farmers of the best practices and innovations in the farming sector. He urged the farmers to practise organic farming to maintain the quality of the soil.

Chief Agriculture Officer, Kargil, Kacho Muhammad Ali Khan; Chief Horticulture Officer, Ali Reza and Senior Scientist KVK Nasreen Kacho gave insight about the best agriculture and horticulture practices to the farmers.
