Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 9 baje 9 minute appeal to the citizens, people of Kargil also exuded their enthusiastic participation to mark the nationwide fight against COVID-19 on April 5.

People with lighted candles and torches in their hands and flashlights on their mobile phones came out on balconies and doors, joined the nation. Showing solidarity with the front line warriors in the fight against COVID-19, they expressed gratitude to all.

Meanwhile, doctors and paramedical staff deployed on duty at the quarantine facility at Government Polytechnic Kargil also lighted candles to mark the national fight against Coronavirus pandemic. People at District Headquarters as well all the Sub Divisions also expressed their strong resolve and show of unity in the fight against COVID-19.
