Kargil district declared COVID-19 positive-free CEC, Kargil, extends gratitude, appeals to public for observance of health advisories
With no active case of Covid-19, Kargil district has been declared COVID-19 positive free on April 22. Rigzin Samphel, Commissioner Secretary Health, UT Ladakh informed Feroz Ahmad Khan, Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil yesterday.
CEC expressed heartfelt gratitude to the selfless and timely efforts put in by all stakeholders including the UT Administration Ladakh especially R.K Mathur, Lieutenant Governor Ladakh; Umang Narula, Advisor to LG Ladakh; Rigzin Samphel, Commissioner Secretary Health; Saugat Biswas, Divisional Commissioner Ladakh and S.S Khandare, IGP Ladakh.
He also thanked Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, MP Ladakh for his constant support and further lauded the tireless efforts of the District Administration Kargil led by Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, Deputy Commissioner/ District Magistrate and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil
in containing the spread of Coronavirus in the district.
Feroz Khan also hailed the efforts of the frontline warriors including doctors, paramedical staff, nurses, District Police Kargil led by Dr. Vinod Kumar, SSP Kargil and other concerned officers and officials, public representatives and volunteers who have extended their voluntary services to supplement the efforts of the administration in the fight against COVID-19.
CEC also congratulated the general public of Kargil and urged them to wear masks and follow the guidelines and advisories issued by the authorities so that the COVID-19 pandemic is completely eradicated from the district.
He also appealed everyone to take care of their hygiene as well as the hygiene of their homes and surroundings.
