For the first time, Jio mobile tower began its 4G mobile services in Tangtse village of Changthang region. EC, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee inaugurated the mobile tower on November 8.

Tashi Namgyal congratulated the people of Tangtse area and thanked Construction Head, Jio Ladakh, Sandeep Kotwal, and Basharat for their effort in the installation of this mobile tower.

He said that the service will improve the digital connectivity of this remote subdivision with the rest of the world and will benefit everyone especially the students who suffered a lot due to the non-availability of internet facilities for online studies.

Also, he hoped that Jio will expand its towers in other deserving remote blocks and villages of Changthang region in the coming months and assured all possible assistance and support from Hill Council Leh.

Nambardars of Durbuk, Shachukul, Tharook, Sarpanch Durbuk, and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
