The birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS), the first Imam of Shia Muslims, was commemorated with profound reverence and devotion at the Imam Zaman Educational Centre (IZEC), Lankerchey, on the 13th of Rajab, 1446.

The event featured vibrant decorations and illuminations across mosques and Imam Bargahs, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
Students and volunteers from IZEC enriched the celebrations with soulful recitations of Balti Qasida and Naat, adding to the occasion’s solemnity and grace.

Addressing the gathering, religious scholar Sheikh Murtaza Ansari highlighted the teachings of Imam Ali (AS) and their relevance in fostering unity among Muslims. He underscored the timeless values exemplified by Imam Ali (AS), such as compassion, generosity, integrity, tolerance, forgiveness, and service to humanity.

The cleric further reflected on Imam Ali’s wisdom and leadership, which played a pivotal role in countering conspiracies against the Muslim Ummah and setting an example for leading a life of honor and dignity.

The day also served as an opportunity for Muslims worldwide to renew their commitment to these values, which continue to inspire communities across generations.

The event concluded with collective prayers for global peace, security in the Muslim world, the well-being of India, and much-needed snowfall in Ladakh, an essential concern for the region.

In addition to the spiritual activities, the annual results of IZEC students were announced, followed by a prize distribution ceremony to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the top performers.
