ICDS Kargil launches “Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi” training programme for Anganwadi workers
ICDS Kargil has launched the “Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi” training programme for Anganwadi workers. The programme was inaugurated at the Academy Hall Kargil on May 7.
The training programme aims to equip workers with comprehensive knowledge and essential skills crucial for nurturing children during their formative years.
Parveen Akhtar, the Child Development Project Officer, spoke about the programme’s core motive, emphasising its pivotal role in promoting early stimulation, providing quality play-based early childhood care and education, and reinforcing understanding of nutrition, including Poshan 2.0 and Saksham Anganwadi initiatives.
Parveen Akhtar reiterated the programme’s commitment to holistic development, foundational literacy, and numeracy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to child welfare in the region.
Resource persons including Mohd Ayub, State Coordinator; Shama Zahra, Project Assistant, and CDPO Shargole Farida Batool, contributed their expertise to the training sessions, enriching the learning experience for all participants.
