Government Model Degree College, Zanskar concluded its week-long educational and exposure tour to different sub-divisions within the Kargil district on September 27.

The educational journey was thoughtfully crafted to enhance students' knowledge by delving into the historical aspects of the regions and providing valuable insights into the local flora and fauna.

Throughout the tour, which encompassed regions such as Sankoo, Drass, and Chiktan subdivisions, students were fully engaged in a diverse learning experience. This encompassed enlightening field trips, expert talks, visits to historical landmarks, agricultural sites, and revered religious places.

The array of activities was designed with the aim of offering students a comprehensive understanding and exploration of the region's rich heritage, culture, and biodiversity.

On the final day of the tour, the students gathered medicinal plants in Parkachik and also paid a visit to the Rangdum monastery.
