GDC Drass organises 3-day yoga retreat for students and faculty
The Department of Physical Education at GDC Drass organised a three-day yoga retreat for its students and faculty members from May 15 to May 17.
The retreat aimed to promote the benefits of yoga for physical and mental well-being among the college community. The sessions included instructions on various yoga postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation techniques.
The retreat received positive feedback from participants who appreciated the opportunity to learn and practice yoga under the guidance of experienced instructors. The sessions provided a platform for students and faculty to relax, de-stress, and improve their overall health.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi, Principal of GDC Drass, expressed his gratitude to yoga instructor Raj Kumar. He commended the efforts of the Department of Physical Education for organising such a successful event and highlighted its positive impact on the college community.
Dr. Abassi further emphasised the importance of regularly incorporating such wellness programmes and expressed his hope for more similar events in the near future.
