Former CEC Late Dorjey Motup remembers on his 3rd death anniversary
Rich tribute paid to Former CEC Late Dorjey Motup on his 3rd death anniversary on September 1 at Dorjay Motup Memorial Park at Housing Colony, Leh.
MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Executive Councilors, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee and Stanzin Chosphel, Councillors of LAHDC Leh, ADC Leh, Sonam Chosjor, Former CEC, Gyal P Wangyal and the family members of late Dorjey Motup paid tribute.
MP Ladakh talked about how kind and dedicated the person Late Dorjay Motup was. He said that he was a man of value who kept petty politics aside and worked hard for the upliftment of the under-developed people of Ladakh.
He also briefed about his work and development brought by him specially in the Changthang region and proposed to build Late Dorjey Motup’s sculpture in the park financed from the MP fund. He also informed that if possible, with the help of LAHDC he would like to rename the Nyoma Higher Secondary school or the health centre in Late Dorjey Motup’s name.
Executive Councillor Tashi Namgyal and other councilors also recalled Late Dorjay Motup’s work and said that his works will never be forgotten by the people of Ladakh. He shared the journey of the deceased in politics.
Councillor Kungyam constituency, Thinles Nurboo, and Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang also spoke on the occasion.
