Ensure optimum awareness, use of healthcare system: Dr Dorje
Dr Motup Dorje, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Ladakh, along with a team of healthcare professionals, conducted a comprehensive visit to various health facilities in Kargil on April 26. The purpose of the visit was to ensure optimal functioning of healthcare services and address the needs of the local population.
Accompanied by officials including Dr. Liyaqat, CMO Kargil, Dr. Iqbal SIO, Dr. Iqbal SSO, Dr. Rinchan Consultant RCH, and others, Dr. Dorje meticulously inspected several health facilities across Sankoo Block, including CHC Sankoo and AAM SCs in Thasgam, Barsoo, Shargandi, Taikat, Pangbar and Itchoo.
Their assessments covered various operational aspects such as register maintenance, tele-consultation services and ambulance services.
During the visit, Dr. Dorje emphasised the importance of accurate record-keeping and urged healthcare personnel to strive for excellence in service delivery. He also stressed the need to raise awareness about emergency services, particularly the availability of 108 ambulance services.
Interacting with patients and attendants at CHC Sankoo, Dr. Dorje addressed specific needs at each facility visited. At AAM Sub center Itchoo, he highlighted the importance of identifying land for a Health Centre within a week.
Dr. Motup Dorje has directed Block Medical Officers to regularly visit health facilities within their respective blocks to oversee progress reports and health center programmes.
