Executive Councillor for Education, Konchok Stanzin requested Lieutenant Governor, R K Mathur to introduce Bhoti subject in JNV and KV schools of Leh district.

He said that Bhoti is a rich language having all the ingredients and literature in different fields; such as Medicine, Architecture, Astrology, Music, Arts, Dance, Drama, Yoga, Philosophy, Tantric, Grammar, etc.

He further requested L-G Mathur to create the Bhoti teacher posts in Ladakh at the earliest so that the unique language which is the identity of Ladakhi people could get its due recognition and scope in the near future. Also, he requested for creation of Arabic teachers in Ladakh.
