Dr. M S Sumbli assumed the charge as a Rector of satellite campuses Leh and Kargil, University of Kashmir on September 25.

After assuming the charge Dr. Sumbli discussed with the faculty and staff at both the satellite campuses.  He reviewed the status of courses offered and the facilities available at both the institution.

He discusses the problems being faced by the staff and faculty regarding facilities, services, and infrastructure. He said that all the issues will be addressed in a phased manner. He added that the interactions with the government authorities, at Leh and Kargil, will be convened whenever needed, for sustained progress and development of the satellite campuses. 

Dr. Sumbli emphasised strict adherence to discipline, academic and examination schedules by the staff, faculty, and students.
