A meeting with the bankers of Leh district was convened by Sachin Kumar, District Magistrate, Leh on April 4 to facilitate uniform and fair distribution of the financial assistance under components of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.

Talking about the people unable to visit banks due to lockdown, Sachin Kumar directed all the banks of the district to prepare a list of beneficiaries of various schemes under PM Garib Kalyan Yojana (old age/widow/physically challenged, and PM Kissan) on sub-divisional and village levels for the door to door delivery of the assistance/pensions.

Sub-Divisional Magistrates will assist all the banks in coordination with the area/village representatives to facilitate fair distribution. He said that no beneficiary should be left out.

Rigzin Spalgon, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Leh; Tashi Chosdon, District Social Welfare Officer Leh, Bank Managers and bank Associates of Leh district were present in the meeting.
