To ensure the fair and smooth conduct of Panchayat elections in the district, Avny Lavasa, DC/ District Election Officer Leh convened a joint meeting of Zonal/Sectoral magistrates and Zonal/Sectoral police officers on November 13 at DC office conference hall.

Sargun Shukla, SSP Leh, Deputy DEO, SDMs, Dy SPs and senior officers from civil administration and police were present.

Avny Lavasa briefed the participants about their responsibilities for a fair and smooth conduct of the election.

 

She stressed on the need for better coordination among the police officers and magistrates for smooth conduct of the elections.
