DIET Leh concludes 10-day FLN workshop on contextualized numeracy
The valedictory session of the 3rd batch of the FLN program, held at DIET Leh, as part of the NIPUN Bharat Mission concluded on February 28.
During the 10-day workshop, experts from Lucknow contextualized Vidya Pravesh, and a numeracy expert from Meghalaya provided insights into contextualized numeracy, following the guidelines of the NIPUN Bharat mission.
Experts shared methodologies for numeracy education with the the teachers.Deputy Chairman LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk, was the chief guest. Chetan Dorje, Principal, DIET Leh, welcomed the Deputy Chairman and assured that the workshop would benefit the FLN teachers from various zones of Leh district. He emphasized the significance of such workshops.
Around 90 FLN teachers were attended the session.
Principal Chetan Dorje said that contextualized numeracy is a crucial component of the National Curriculum Framework at the Foundational Stage.
At the end, Deputy chairman, LAHDC Leh Tsering Angchuk stressed that Vidya Pravesh pedagogical strategies and assessments should be strictly implemented in schools at the initial stage of grade one for three months, involving parents in the school curriculum under the NIPUN Bharat mission.
