DC, Leh, reviews progress of vibrant village programme
Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve reviewed the advancement of the Vibrant Village Programme with a particular emphasis on the saturation of centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) at DC mini Conference Hall on September 4.
DC Santosh Sukhadeve highlighted the importance of centralized schemes in propelling the ambitious rural development agenda forward. He directed all officers present to promptly update the status of these schemes and prioritize their saturation. Further, he directed all the heads of various departments to submit the updated data to the Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Leh.
DC, Leh, added that timely and efficient implementation is essential to ensure that the benefits reach our citizens as soon as possible.
Several centrally sponsored schemes were reviewed, including those focusing on road connectivity, clean drinking water, electrification, sanitation, and social welfare programs. The progress of each scheme was thoroughly evaluated, with DC Sukhadeve urging officials to expedite implementation where necessary.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Leh; ADDC, Leh; Chief Medical Officer, Leh; officers and officials from various departments including Health, Education, industries, Handicraft, Forest among others.
