DC, Leh, discusses proposed budget allocation for NHM initiatives
Deputy Commissioner, Leh/ District Chairman of the Health Society, Leh, Sanstosh Sukhadeve discussed the proposed budget allocation for National Health Mission (NHM) initiatives for the fiscal years 2024-25 and 2025-26 at DC mini conference Hall on August 22.
Chief Medical Officer, Leh, Dr Nurzin Angmo presented the Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) of the NHM to the District Chairman of the Health Society, Leh.
Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve emphasized the urgent need for an incinerator and directed the Medical Superintendent to propose a high-quality incinerator for SNM Hospital. He assured that the budget for this project would be provided from government funds.
CMO highlighted the increasing tourist influx and the need for an eco-friendly ambulance at Tangtse. Responding to this, DC instructed the CMO to put forward a proposal for an eco ambulance, with the assurance that necessary funds would be released from government resources.
Furthermore, CMO, Leh brought up the necessity for the hepatitis B vaccine and the need to secure suitable land for an urban Primary Health Center (UPHC). Deputy Commissioner committed to exploring options for state-owned land for the UPHC. In the interim, the DC advised the CMO to continue looking for potential rental spaces.
