Cyber Crime unit Leh solves two financial fraud cases; amount recovered
Cyber Crime unit of District Police Leh solved two cyber financial fraud cases and recovered the full amount ₹1, 21,311 on January 12.
On January 4, Rigzin Chosphel registered a complaint that an unauthorized transaction has taken place from his account in which ₹91,031 has been withdrawn fraudulently. Another complaint was lodged by Tashi Tundup (a student) to the effect that he was supposed to receive an amount of ₹30,280 from a lady namely Dawa Lamo from France (his Sponsor), however, the amount didn't credit into his account instead got transfer in some other account. The cyber team swiftly took the action and recovered the full amount of both the victims and credited it into their accounts.
