District Administration, Leh conducted a random inspection of hotels in Leh town for enforcement of standing operating procedures (SOPs) for COVID-19 on June 4.

Two teams of District Administration comprising officials from Revenue, Tourism and Police departments inspected 13 hotels and fines were imposed for violation of Covid-19 protocols.

The inspection drive aims to ensure Covid-19 SOPs, including maintenance of occupancy status, daily updation of the guest list with mandatory RT PCR report, availability of masks, sanitisers, disinfectants and thermal screening at the hotel premises.

The District Administration would further intensify the inspection drive in the upcoming days. The hoteliers were asked to strictly follow Covid-19 SOPs, failing to which legal action will be taken against the defaulting hotels.
