Gyurmet Dorjey opposition leader, questions about the New Ration Card application form which has been asked to fill up without any prior information and awareness being given to the public. 

He said that the new ration card application form requires bank details, details of the land owned by the family, LPG gas connection, details of the vehicle owned and many more. The documents like voter Id, Aadhaar card, State subject is relevant but the curiosity is the importance of the rest of the details being asked to provide in the forms. 

He further added that the public should understand the new policy and act after that. A discussion on this issue is important before filling up the details.

The congress leaders also raised the reservation in promotion issue and the hefty airfares which have created a huge mess and problems for the people. The protestor’s demands fixed airfare for the people of Ladakh.

Ex-MLC & JKPCC Vice president Nurboo Gyaltson, working president Ghulam Abbas Abidi, senior leader Shafi Lassu, leader of the opposition, LAHDC Leh Gyurmet Dorjey and all the active workers were present.

A memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister and all the other concerned departments on these issues for immediate consideration and action.
