Under ‘Back to village’ programme, Gram Sabha of Baima village was held under the chairmanship of Rigzin Samphel, Commissioner Secretary, J&K Tourism on June 25.

Rigzin Samphel said that the ‘Back to village’ programme aims to reach grass root governance for speedy development and planning process.

He took stock of various ongoing developmental projects in Baima village and interacted with the Panchayat members and villagers. The concerned HODs were directed to complete all the pending works including road connectivity, drinking water facility, electrification and filling up of vacant posts of teachers at the earliest.

He further assured to solve their grievances at the earliest possible.  Later, he also inspected school hostel, classrooms and medical sub-centre.

Tool kits from Horticulture Dept. and Conifer plants from Forest Department were also distributed among the farmers of Baima.
