In a step towards combating COVID-19 in Leh district, Gyal P. Wangyal, CEC, in presence of Tsering Sandup, Deputy Chairman and Executive Councillors handed over 1000 bottles of sanitizers in CEC Relief Fund to Dr. Motup Dorje, Chief Medical Officer, Leh at Council Secretariat on March 8. 

The sanitizers were purchased out of the fund donated by Young Drukpa Association, Nubra.Wangyal instructed CMO, Leh to distribute sanitizers to BMOs as per the requirements of the medical centers in the district.

Similarly, CEC also handed over sanitizers to Tsetan Wangchuk, Chief Representative Officer, Sonamling Tibetan Settlement at Council Secretariat meant for Men-Tse-Khang of Tibetan community.

Meanwhile, CEC also convened a meeting to review measures being taken to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Leh. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman, ECs, Dr. Zahida Bano, ADC Leh and CMO, Leh. 

Motup Dorje, CMO, Leh briefed CEC about all the measure being taken by district administration Leh and medical department, Leh in the district.
