Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Hydraulic Engineering Wing complex at Kurbathang near Council Secretariat on May 4.

The project is being developed at a cost of ₹5.68 crore under the State Development Plan (SDP). The complex will consist of the Chief Engineer Hydraulic office, SE PWD Office, Irrigation and Flood Control and PHE Offices.

Executive Councillor for works, Aga Syed Abass Rizvi; Executive Councillor for Health Mohsin Ali; Deputy Commissioner/ CEO Santosh Sukhadeve; Chief Engineer PDD, Er Ghulam Ahmad Mir; SE Hydraulics Er Tashi Tundup; SE R&B, Er Nissar Ahmad Bagh; ACR Abdul Ghaffar Zargar; Executive Engineer R&B, Er Kacho Mehmood Ali Khan; Executive Engineer SVD, Er Shabbir Ahmad among other officials of the department were present.
