CEC, Kargil, chairs meeting regarding construction of Ladakh Bhawan at Delhi Foundation stone to be laid in April: CEC, Kargil
CEC, Hill Council, Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan chaired a meeting with the officers of CPWD and PWD Kargil on March 24 at Delhi regarding the construction of Ladakh Bhawan (Kargil unit) at Delhi.
EC Works, Syed Abass Razvi; Superintending Engineer, PWD Kargil, Nisar Hussain; Superintending Engineer CPWD, Rajesh Kumar, and Chief Architect CPWD, Prof. Divya Kush attended the meeting.
The Chief Architect CPWD presented a detailed presentation regarding the design and plan of the said building. The design and plan of the project to be constructed for Rs 14 crores, was approved with minor modifications after thorough discussions.
CEC Khan was informed that all the formalities regarding documentation from Delhi Development Authority have been completed and tender could be called any time for the project. They informed that work on the project could be initiated next month.
Further, the CEC was also informed that the work on the project will be completed within eighteen months from the date of allotment of tender. He said that the date for laying the foundation is in April 2022 and the date will be decided by the LAHDC Kargil and be intimated soon.
He appreciated the dedicated efforts put in by the PWD Kargil, CPWD, and the architect team and expressed gratitude to the UT Administration for taking up the project under Special Development Package. He directed to ensure that all basic amenities are included in the building and urged the CPWD to make all efforts to accommodate a maximum number of persons in Bhawan.
