Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, CEC, LAHDC Kargil, attended the launch of Simplified English Grammar for 9th to 12th standards, authored by Senior Lecturer Kacho Hassan Khan on December 23.

The event, organised by the Lecturers Forum Kargil, saw participation from several dignitaries, including the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Kargil, the Incharge Principal of DIET, former Executive Councillors, and prominent educationists.

In his address, Dr. Akhoon congratulated Kacho Hassan Khan for his academic contribution and commended his dedication to simplifying English grammar for students. He also praised the role of educators in shaping society’s future and expressed gratitude to the Lecturers Forum for recognizing the author’s work and organizing the ceremony.

The CEC reiterated the Hill Council’s commitment to prioritizing education and referred to the Council’s Vision Document-2047, which outlines a roadmap for Kargil’s comprehensive development. He encouraged lecturers to share their insights for the region’s growth and assured continued support from the Hill Council to enhance the education sector.

The author Kacho Hassan Khan, shared his experiences in writing the book and emphasised the importance of providing simplified learning materials for students.

The CEO of Kargil commended Kacho Hassan Khan’s efforts and lauded the Lecturers Forum for organizing the event. The Incharge Principal of DIET also discussed the challenges in the education sector and acknowledged the dedication of teachers in fostering positive change.
