Bhoti Cell and Language Lab established at DIET Leh

During the inauguration of the Bhoti Cell and a newly developed Language Lab at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh.

Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk, inaugurated the Bhoti Cell and a newly developed Language Lab at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh on July 25. The event marks a milestone in the efforts to preserve and promote the Bhoti language and enhance educational resources in the region.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Chief Education Officer Leh, Sonam Wangchuk, and Principal DIET, Deldan Angmo. The gathering included principals and headmasters of government schools, Bhoti teachers, and resource persons, showcasing a collective commitment to advancing education in Leh.

Dy. Chairman, Tsering Angchuk emphasized the importance of preserving the Bhoti language and culture, which are integral to the identity of the Ladakhi people. He expressed confidence that the Bhoti Cell and the Language Lab would provide valuable support to students and teachers in learning and teaching the Bhoti language more effectively.

The newly established Language Lab is equipped with modern facilities and technologies aimed at enhancing the linguistic skills of students and educators. It offers an interactive environment for learning, with resources tailored to the needs of the local community.

Following the inauguration, the Chief Guest welcomed the commencement of CBSE, (Leading Transformation program) training for the heads of institutions in the Leh district. This initiative aims to update the educational leaders on the latest pedagogical trends and strategies, ensuring the continuous improvement of education standards in the region. Film pedagogy is the 3rd program started at DIET by the Chief Guest.

Principal,DIET, Deldan Angmo acknowledged the efforts of all participants and expressed optimism for the future of education in Leh.
