Bharat Vikas Parishad donates blanket to hospital in Leh
A total of 100 blankets were donated by Bharat Vikas Parishad to the hospital in Leh on January 12.
To mark the occasion chief guest MP, Jamyang Tsering Namgail; CEC, Hill Council, Leh, Tashi Gyalson; CMO Leh, Dr. Motup Dorjay; BDC chairman, Dr. Skalzang; Ven. Konchok Rigzin; Councillor Khaltse, Lobzang Sherap, BVP Leh, presidents, and members among others were present.
MP Ladakh applauded the frontline workers all over Ladakh dealing with the pandemic and thanked them. He said that all the credit so far for controlling the virus goes to the frontliners. He emphasized that not only the administration but various NGOs are contributing vehemently with zeal. Jamyang further expressed his deep appreciation to the Bharat Vikas Parishad was shown when for their kind gesture.
Ven. Konchok Rigzin said that Bharat Vikas Parishad is a very old organization established to encourage India’s religion, culture, and nationalism. Physical development is evident everywhere in the world but in India to conserve our culture, religion such bodies were formed to educate the young generation about its importance. He emphasized BVK’s kind support to the poor and needy patients who are neglected in the country’s vast population and further informed that to provide such support here as well they had opened a branch in Leh for the same purpose two years ago, naming Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo Gyagar Gyalwang Tsogspa, and donated money to Igoo village and Bharatiya Vidya Niketan School, Leh.
He also said that they had requested them to donate a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine. He recalled that Buddhism teaching has always prioritized that along with prayers it the responsibility of everyone especially the privileged ones to help the needy and poor as much as they can.
