Bachelor of Sowa Rigpa Medicine and Surgery (BSRMS) course offered by National Institute of Sowa Rigpa has been affiliated with the University of Ladakh (UoL).

In this regard, a brief handing-over ceremony was held at the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, Leh on April 7. Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Professor S K Mehta handed over the formal letter of affiliation to the Director, NISR Leh, Dr Padma Gurmet. 

While appreciating the efforts of the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa in conducting the BSRMS course, Vice-Chancellor Mehta assured all possible support from the University of Ladakh concerning academic affairs.

Director Padma Gurmet appreciated the efforts of Professor S K Mehta for affiliating the BSRMS course with the University of Ladakh.

Dean, Academic Affairs, UoL, Professor Deskyong Namgyal and other senior officers of the University of Ladakh were also present during the ceremony.
