Advisor Ladakh virtually launches Digidoc platform for digital execution of documents
Advisor Dr. Pawan Kotwal virtually inaugurated the Digidoc-Digital Execution of Documents platform, developed by the Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL), at the Civil Secretariat Leh on November 28.
The event was attended by Michael M.D. Souza, Inspector General of Registration, UT Ladakh (Secretary GAD); Deputy Commissioners Shrikant Balasaheb Suse (Kargil) and Santosh Sukhadeve (Leh); Registrars (ADCs); and Sub-Registrars (ACRs & SDMs) from both districts. Officials from SHCIL, Mumbai, and Chandigarh joined the event virtually.
Advisor Ladakh commended the collaborative efforts of SHCIL, describing the Digidoc platform as a groundbreaking and result-oriented initiative. He highlighted that the platform enables real-time document execution, regardless of the geographical locations of the involved parties, thus enhancing service delivery in Ladakh.
The Stockholding Digidoc platform allows the seamless execution of documents and contracts in digital mode, including the payment of stamp duty. Once executed, the digital document is immediately available for use, making the process faster, simpler, and legally compliant. The platform aims to reduce processing time, improve public convenience, and promote a paperless document execution system.
Vivek Khurana from SHCIL delivered a detailed presentation on the functions and objectives of the Digidoc platform. He emphasized its role in streamlining document execution while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Notably, SHCIL has been providing e-Stamping services for over 16 years across multiple states and Union Territories in India. In the Union Territory of Ladakh, these services have been available for the past five years, significantly contributing to modernizing administrative processes.
