Action COVID-19 team donates 7 portable ventilators to SNM hospital, Leh
7 portable ventilators were donated to SNM hospital, Leh by the Action Covid-19 team on June 2.
The ventilators were handed over to Dr. Motup Dorje, CMO, Leh and Dr. Norzin Angmo, Medical Superintendent by Dr. Nordan Otzer and Stanzin Chonjor Dawa in the presence of Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, MP Ladakh.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal expressed gratitude to the Action Covid-19 team (ACTS Grant) and Sawasth for the donation. He said that the portable ventilators will be beneficial since it is convenient, easy to carry and move around wherever needed.
The ventilator is small size, portable, and can run on batteries. It can be moved easily from one place to another within the hospital.
ACT Grants is a volunteer-led initiative by 34 Indian entrepreneurs and 44 venture capital funds, set up to provide support to hospital and organisations that combat the COVID-19 pandemic with oxygen solutions, fund home healthcare solutions, support & supplement the healthcare workforce across the country. In December 2020, they donated two High Flow Nasal Cannula worth around ₹6 lakh to SNM hospital, Leh, 30,000 N95 masks and 20 Coronaoven to Ladakh.
