44-kanal Rock Garden project in Khaos, Kargil, reviewed by Secretary RDD
Administrative Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD), UT Ladakh, Shashanka Ala, chaired a meeting to review ongoing construction works, including the Rock Garden Project at Khaos, Kargil, under the Special Development Package (SDP) 2023-24. The meeting was held in the chamber of the Secretary, RDD on November 18.
At the outset, Director, Rural Development Department, Syed Sajad Qadri, provided a detailed overview of the Rock Garden Project, which is set to be constructed on 44 kanals of land in Khaos, Kargil. The report included updates on the physical status and progress of the project.
Key challenges, including risk factors and obstacles impeding the construction process, were discussed in detail. The meeting also deliberated on the proposed works for the SDP 2024-25 to ensure future planning and implementation.
While reviewing the progress of the construction projects, Secretary Shashanka Ala directed the concerned officials and executing agencies to conduct ground surveys to identify and address issues on-site, ensuring timely and proper completion of the works.
The meeting was attended by the Statistical Officer, RDD, officials from NPCC, Executive Engineer, RDD, and other key personnel. Several officials joined the meeting virtually.
