224 cases disposed of in Lok Adalat in Kargil
A total of 224 cases were disposed of out of 474 cases and the settlement amount of ₹ 8,31,011 and a fine of ₹ 35,700 was imposed during the National Lok Adalat held in Kargil on September 9.
The Lok Adalat was organised by the District Legal Services Authority Kargil in which five benches were constituted for different kinds of cases pending in the Courts like criminal Compoundable matters, and cases u/s 138 NI Act. MACT cases, Bank recovery cases, Matrimonial disputes, and other civil cases, etc.
The 1st bench was presided over by Iqbal Ahmad Masoudi, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil and Advocate Asgar Ali Yarkain, the 2nd bench was presided over by Phuntsog Angmo Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate/Secretary DLSA Kargil and Advocate Muzaffar Hussain, the 3rd bench was presided over by Shafiq Mushtaq Lone, Ld. Munsiff/ JMIC Sankoo and Advocate Aga Syed Abass, the 4th bench was presided over by Imran Hanif, Munsiff Additional/Special Mobile Magistrate Drass and Tehsildar Drass, and the 5th bench was presided over by Abdul Gaffar Zargar, SDM Shakar Chiktan and Tehsildar Kargil.
