Anjuman Imamia Leh Youth held procession on International Yom-E-Quds day Around 5000 people including school students witnessed the protest rally

The procession was organised on the International Yom-E-Quds day on June 23 by Anjuman-e-Imamia, Youth wing in Leh expressing solidarity and unity with the people of Palestine. The rally was started from Imam Bargha Leh and culminated at the Polo Ground Leh.
Around 5000 people including students from the different schools of Leh and people from Ranbirpur, Thiksay, Shey, Chuchot, Phyang and Leh Town participated in the rally.
With slogans shaming the oppressive acts of America and Israel it reaffirmed the support of the people for the global struggle for the Liberation of Al Aqsa Masjid and the self-determination of the people of the Palestine.
Shaikh Nazir Ahmed Sharifi, President Majilis Ulema Leh stressed on the freedom of Al-Aqsa Masjid i.e Qiblai Awwal and presented anguish over the human right violations going in Palestine.
He further added that the struggle is mainly for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Masjid which is under the illegal occupation of the Israel and against the human right violations in Palestine.
Addressing the gathering, Ashraf Ali, President Anjuman Imamia Leh talked about the International Day of Yom–e-Quds. He said that it is a day of recognition of the struggle and perseverance of the people across the globe for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Masjid all over the world and for the innocent and oppressed people of the Palestine.
He said, “We all are here to fully support the citizen of Palestine whose basic rights are being crushed by Israel.”
Tsewang Thinles, President, Ladakh Buddhist Association showed anguish over the human right violations going in Tibet and many parts of the world.
This struggle was initiated under the visionary leadership of H.H Ayatollah Imam Khomeini whereby His Holiness Dalai Lama motivated the Muslims all over the world to take out procession every year on the last Friday of the Holy month of the Ramazan.
The rally was addressed by the heads of different religious organisations of Leh.
On the day, a memorandum was also presented to DC Leh on behalf of the entire Muslim community and religious organisations of different faith of Leh district to convey central government in reinventing its historic stance of support for the cause of the Palestinian.
