High School Matho celebrates Children Day

Village Education Committee organised Children Day with colorful function in High School Matho on 12th November, 2013. Ven. Jamyang Kunzang, Lecturer CIBS Leh was the Chief Guest. Sarpanch, Village Numberder, Panches, President Chitsogs Phandey Society, Aama Tsogspa, Staffs and students of the school and all the villagers of Matho also keenly participated in the event. A Glass Room was inaugurated by the blissful hand of the Chief Guest of the occasion.
Colorful cultural programs and prizes were also distributed to the outstanding students. Among the achievers special prizes were honored to Stanzin Phandey as senior best student of the year, Jigmet Deskit as junior best student of the year and Phuntsog Angmo as All-rounder student of the year 2012-2013.
Sonam Stanzin, Chairman VEC Matho in the welcome speech said, “we need a collective afford to strengthen the education in all Govt. Schools of Ladakh by strengthening all VECs as grassroots policy maker as well as implementers. The successful education can be seen from overall development of a student but not only from matric result”, he added.
Dechen Angmo Headmises stressed on involvement of the parents to shape their children for a successful life by educating them. “Without cooperation of the parents, we the staff members of any schools can do nothing. So what we seek from you all is only cooperation”.
School Student Stanzin Namzes, Phuntsog Angmo, Dechen Chuskit and Tirla Bahdur also highlighted the life story of Pt. Jawahar Laal Nehru and his contribution to the nation.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal appraised the VEC of Chitsogs Phandey Society, and other well doers for their unforgettable contribution to shape the school and its function towards overall development. He also donated two books of “A Gift of Poetry” written in by him for the school library and encouraged the students for writing in different languages.
The Hon’ble Chief Guest, Ven. Lama Jamyang Kunzang advised the parents to encourage their kids for good education and appraised the teacher for their warm hearted services.
Skarma Lotus, the Numberder of the village encouraged to enroll the village children in Government School. Ven. Jamyang Anchuk also thanked the organizer and all supporters.
